If you have been here a minute you know that I grew up in an amazing home environment. I have been blessed with great parents. But, during college my parents got divorced and my “home” quickly shattered beneath me. I still had a loving family, I still had a home to go home too. But the FEELING OF HOME was gone.

It wasn’t until a few months ago that I was even able to put into words that I realized what had changed about my parents home, for me it was THE FEELING. It felt amazing being able to understand for myself that that was what changed. But since then I have spent months wondering what was the feeling that changed? I couldn’t put my finger on it. But recently it hit me like a ton of bricks, the feeling of home to is PEACE.

I can’t put into words how freeing it is to know that the word PEACE is the answer to so many questions and perfectly aligns with so many of my beliefs. Peace can be achieved by our environment, the sounds you hear, the things you touch and see. Décor, furniture, how we style our home can play a huge part. But also, joy, safety, happiness, laughter, they envelop peace. The relationships we have with those that we share our home with can be ones that hold peace.
The goal is to create this type of a home. A sanctuary, safe haven, a home where peace is overflowing through each of us that live here and the walls that keep us safe.

Finding
Peace

XO,
                  Kelsie

Slowing down takes effort.
Being busy is easy.
Don’t let peace be confused with quiet.
It does not have to be quiet to have peace. If you have kids, let this be ingrained on you.
Whether it’s peace of mind or peace on earth you’re after, it all begins with making an effort to be more calm and present.

YOU FIND PEACE WHERE YOU MAKE IT.
