Obviously the kitchen itself is no where near done. But girl, the design is practically finished. I knew that for the kitchen, and well really my house in general, I wanted that earthy natural vibe. To help achieve that I decided to go with wood cabinets. Specifically Rift Sawn White Oak. THEY ARE TO DIE FOR! I literally cannot wait.
How good is it going to look with our floors and our walnut doors?!?!?!?!? Bah. I am just slightly giddy about the whole situation. As far as countertops go, I haven’t picked out an exact slab. But we will either go quartz or granite in some type of white shade. I know really vague. As far as backsplash goes I am toying with a few different ideas. But below are just a few of my inspiration pictures. I love mixing two different materials for the backsplash. So that will probably be happening over by our open shelving.

Above our hood we are building out a “faux chimney” that we plan on covering in more faux brick and then painting white. That project probably won’t happen until after we’ve moved in. But it definitely plays a part in the overall design.
Lighting will be added in sconce lights over the open shelving areas and then we will have faux marble pendant lights over the island. Can you imagine it?!?! I can’t wait to see it come to reality.
